We are told that we need 8-hours of sleep for health purposes.
One of the purposes is to help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
In other words, sleep helps lessen these symptoms not get rid of them.
Depression and anxiety deal with the mind.
Therefore, 8-hours of sleep are for the benefit of the mind.
Bringing numerology into this sleep pattern, the #8 must be analyzed.
The #8’s shape is a circle on the top of another circle.
A circle is 360˚.
Thus 360 plus 360 equals 720.
The #8 also represents karma, infinity, and is the number of God.
Our connection to God happens through the mind.
It’s been explained that there are 3 parts of the mind (conscious, subconscious, and superconscious).
The connection is between superconscious or God and the human’s conscious and subconscious.
Subsequently, the conscious and subconscious are an extension of the superconscious just like each human is a unique extension of God.
With this description, you may be able to recognize how 8-hours of sleep is allegoric.
Think about the idea that we only use 10% of our brain.
On the contrary, this idea is really about the mind (10% conscious, 90% subconscious).
Although, the subconscious mind is 90% of our mind, it’s being downplayed as the servant.
Yet, it’s the other way around.
The conscious is the servant of the subconscious.
The conscious has been taught to be objective, however it can change at will, meaning it is subjective.
The subconscious is objective, it doesn’t change unless the conscious repetitively thinks of something different.
In addition, if the conscious doesn’t frequent an idea, the same emotion (energy in motion) will arise (perspective) from the subconscious, regardless of the situation.
This causes the person to treat everything the same, regardless of how hard s/he wants to think differently.
In order to change the outcome, the conscious mind has to be controlled (subdue the passion).
Since the 10% conscious is allowed to experimentally run wild, it is crucial that it shuts down so the many amazing capabilities of the 90% subconscious mind can freely work without interruption.
This is why it’s important to consciously think of what you want in this world, before you go to sleep or shut off your conscious mind.
The subconscious will utilize your last conscious thought while it works as you sleep for 8-hours.
